A Power-of-Attorney is required for payment of patent annuities.

| TRADEMARKS |
A Power-of-Attorney is required for renewal of trademarks.
Maintenance fees are paid every ten years, starting from the date of filing, but first 10 year period is paid upon grant.
Trademarks can be extended only six months prior to the renewal date.
Grace period: 6 months in which the official fees are increased by 50%.

| DESIGNS |
A Power-of-Attorney is obligatory for renewal of designs.
Designs are valid 25 years from the date of filing. 1-5 years maintenance fees are payable upon grant, after which maintenance fees continue to be paid annually.
Names of authors must be stated on the Request for Renewal of Design.
Designs can be extended only three months prior to the renewal date.
Grace period: 6 months in which the official fees are increased by 50%. |
